Midnight Madness

Nothing today about politics....just a bit of celebrating after the Oiler win last night against the Red Wings, said to be the best team in the National Hockey League this year. Maybe so, but the Oilers might have something to say about that. Here you see Jarret Stoll celebrating an open-netter in Detroit when they evened the series on Sunday. Last night, he scored the double overtime goal to put them ahead 2-1. Yes, I stayed up until after midnight to see it happen. And, no, the boxer shorts had nothing to do with it.

I was too nervous to watch...and too tired. It would be nice to see them upset the Wings and get to the second round. Guys like Peca and Hemsky need to take a cue from Pronger and play like the stars they are alleged to be.

You had that right. Nice timing on Hemsky's part to score his first two goals - one for the money and two for the show. Still can't believe they pulled it off.
