Vacation time in May?
After the long winter, thoughts are turning to warm vacation spots. Our family has been looking at some possibilities in the Okanagan. We really like the one that reminds us of a place we stayed at in Provence two years ago. It's booked for this year so we're thinking maybe next summer. For this year, we might find something closer to home.
Here's one that has a lot going for it. One of the features is a pathway that shovels itself; a must for these parts.
At the back there is a nice shady spot where you can put your feet up and read the paper with your morning coffee. They say it's a good idea to bring appropriate clothing. Long underwear and parkas would work.
This happy getaway has two fireplaces to warm you up on those chilly days. A valuted ceiling in the great room gives you that alpine feeling. Heartier souls can step through garden doors out to the deck and barbecue. For those needing some steamy relaxation, the hot tub is always close by.
However, it is recommended that you bring your own snow shovel. The garden tools tend to get lost under the drifts.

So weird to still see snow on your blog while there's been 4 weeks of a heat wave in Calgary! What's new?!?
I had a baby four and a half months ago...what's your excuse?! Get bloggin' already
My excuse? Just had a lot of snow. Actually, when the snow finally melted, it became too hot to do anything (see comment above). Then when the heat wave was over, I was sent to the rock pile. Yes, hard labour. You will see pictures of the result in my next post. That is, if it doesn't snow or get too hot.
